Goodnight Mr. Macnee

Patrick Macnee died. He was 93 so that's a pretty good run. Still, my selfish ass would prefer if the greats were with us forever. It had a double whammy with a recent interview with Diana Rigg who said they hadn't seen each other in years and it would be could to meet and catch up again. My lovely wife put The Avengers on HULU while I slept so I woke up to some classic black and white Avengers.
I still remember being at a relatives house, leafing through a TV Guide when I came upon a listing for The Avengers. Being a huge comic book nerd I was flabbergasted. I asked my aunt if they got this channel and she said they did. I turned the knob so fast it sparked and prepared to watch something amazing.
Then I got The Avengers.
Sure, it wasn't what I expected, but it was a color episode with the killer toy shop in it.
I was hooked.
Steed was cool, Mrs Peel was gorgeous and probably responsible for a jumpstart into puberty.
Since then I have watched them all. I never get tired of them and they are probably one of my favorite teams on television.
Goodbye Mr. Steed.
We shall never forget you and will miss you every day.
I think after work I'm going to go home and watch some more Avengers.

You remember your Christopher Lee and I will remember mine.
Goodbye Mr. Midnight.

So, there are new commercials with Colonel Sanders in them??? And Darrell Hammond is playing Colonel Sanders??? I'm just checking; Am I the only one offended here? Next thing you know they're going to have someone play Mad Max and it won;t be Mel Gibson.

Just heard about this little abomination. Why would you remake this classic? You can't say the money. It lost money when it was first released. And Kurt Russell isn't dead? Why would you remake it? How about a sequel instead using Russell? We would all rather have this instead. Hell, John Carpenter could o it for half the money and it would be so damned cool.
Hollywood is stupid.
I wish that last sentence was news of some sort.
But, it isn't.
