(I also posted this over at Penguin Comics, but felt it needed as much exposure as possible and I don't know if people read both sites.)
In the news, director Zack Snyder of the new Superman/Batman flick had this to say;
"I
look at [Batman vs. Superman] as more being mythological than, say, bubblegum.
And I think that that’s appropriate for Batman and Superman because they’re the
most mythological of our superheroes […] But I feel like Batman and Superman
are transcendent of superhero movies in a way, because they’re Batman and
Superman. They’re not just, like, the flavor of the week Ant-Man—not to be
mean, but whatever it is. What is the next Blank-Man?"
Look,
I didn't go see Ant-Man either. I also haven't seen a non Christopher
Reeve Superman movie. Not. Going. To. Happen. Not my superheroes. Do
not care.
I
absolutely loved 300. I even liked Sucker Punch. It reminded me of a
Vertigo comic. Watchmen was acceptable as well. Those are, apparently,
the last Zack Snyder movies I have to concern myself with.
Kind of a dick move on the part of some guy who made a cartoon with owls.
Dick. Move. Snyder.
P.S.
I thought of putting a picture up with this as I am fully aware of how
the Internets are all squishy squashy happy about getting a shiny
picture to stare at when they read a story, but I didn't fucking feel
like it.
Have an excellent weekend, folks.
